NBA rumors: James Harden strip club

Before the Los Angeles Clippers were able to build a super team by acquiring Paul George in a trade and signing Kawhi Leonard, the team had other ideas.

According to this report from Jovan Buha and Sam Amick of The Athletic, Los Angeles inquired about trading for Houston Rockets star James Harden. It also had feelers out on Washington Wizards All-Star Bradley Beal.

“The Clippers inquired about Washington’s Bradley Beal and Houston’s James Harden, according to league sources, but neither star was available,” the report read.

The Clippers were apparently looking to team Leonard up with one of these two. However, the George trade came together relatively quickly — leading to a new pairing in Southern California.

The fact that Harden wasn’t available is not too surprising. Rumors from Houston indicated that the team was looking to move on from Chris Paul and others. Harden’s name never really came up.

In the end, Houston added fellow former MVP Russell Westbrook in the trade that sent Paul and draft picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
