The Cleveland Cavaliers have hired European coaching legend David Blatt as their new head coach. Blatt decided to leave Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he had coached since 2010, in order to make the jump to the NBA.

He was being courted by Cleveland as a head coach and the Golden State Warriors as an assistant coach.
Blatt began his coaching career back 1993 and coached the Russian National Team from 2006-2012. He’s considerd one of the greatest basketball minds in the world and should do wonders for the young players on Cleveland’s roster. He was selected for the position over former NBA player Tyronn Lue, who is currently an assistant with the Los Angeles Clippers.
