The Cleveland Browns signed veteran defensive tackle Malik Jackson on Tuesday.

Multiple reports said it was a one-year deal worth $4.5 million.

Jackson, 31, was released by Philadelphia last week in a salary-shedding move after two seasons with the Eagles. He signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the team in March 2019.

He missed 15 games in 2019 with a foot injury. In 2020, he tallied 28 tackles, 13 quarterback hits and 2.5 sacks in 15 games (six starts).

In nine seasons, Jackson has amassed 267 tackles and 35 sacks in 126 games (73 starts). He played for the Denver Broncos (2012-15) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2016-18) before joining the Eagles. He made the Pro Bowl in 2017.
