Cleveland Browns rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah sustained a throat contusion during Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Inglewood, Calif., that led to him being transported to a nearby hospital.

It wasn’t immediately known when Owusu-Koramoah was injured.

Owusu-Koramoah, 21, made four tackles and forced a fumble in the 47-42 loss.

Owusu-Koramoah was a second-round draft choice after being a star at Notre Dame.

Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow also was taken to a hospital with a throat injury earlier in the day after the Bengals lost to the Green Bay Packers in overtime.
