Clayton Kershaw to make 2019 debut on Monday

Less than two months after he suffered a left shoulder injury, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is now set to make his 2019 debut in Los Angeles on Monday.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced Kershaw will be activated off the injured list and return to the hill for Los Angeles following two rehab starts in the minors.

Los Angeles brought its ace along slowly in spring training after his left shoulder continued to give him problems and forced him to miss Opening Day. Now the 31-year-old’s arm is ready for a full return at a time when his team needs him.

The Dodgers placed Hyun-Jin Ryu on the 10-day injured list with a groin injury and fellow starter Rich Hill remains sidelined.
