Clay Matthews filing grievance against Rams

The Los Angeles Rams released Clay Matthews back in mid-March, but the free agent linebacker isn’t quite done with the NFL franchise. In fact, he’s filing a grievance and has submitted paperwork to the NFLPA to handle his filing.

Clay Matthews still hasn’t received $2 million in guaranteed money

The reason for the grievance, per Jeremy Fowler if ESPN, is that the Rams have still not doled out $2 million in unpaid guarantees.

Spotrac noted that Matthews was due to receive the money by March 20.

This is something Matthews had previously expressed frustration about. Former Rams teammate, Todd Gurley who also has griped about the team failing to pay him in a timely manner.
