Chuck Pagano: Andrew Luck has ‘been through hell’

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano aptly described the rocky road quarterback Andrew Luck has been traveling on during his press conference Tuesday. Pagano said Luck has “been through hell,” noting he has “done so much for this organization the last five years,” per Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star.

Pagano also said Luck has yet to return to the team facility since his extended European trip to get medical treatment for his ailing throwing shoulder. However, he assured fans that Luck, “will be back better than ever at some point leading this organization.”

A recent report indicated Luck is going to start throwing again soon to see if he still experiences pain. If he does, then a second surgery could be required.

The Colts are going nowhere fast if Luck isn’t the man under center in 2018. The team absolutely botched the way it handled his health the past few years, not to mention it failed Luck in terms of providing adequate protection, which would have helped him avoid injury altogether.

With new general manager Chris Ballard running the show now instead of Ryan Grigson, Colts fans have to hope the worst is behind them. And for Luck, one can only hope he emerges from this hellish road with something good to show for all his struggles.
