The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Wednesday that Nick Foles will get the start against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

This really shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise after starting quarterback Alex Smith left last week’s game with a concussion. Smith was checked for a concussion earlier in the game before exiting after another hit to the head later in the Chiefs’ win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Foles filled in well for Smith, completing 16-of-22 passes for 223 yards and two scores in the blowout win over Indianapolis. He has familiarity in Andy Reid’s scheme dating back to their days together with the Philadelphia Eagles.
In reality, this shouldn’t change too much as it relates to what the Chiefs plan to do on offense against a struggling Jaguars squad at home on Sunday.
