Houston Astros starting pitcher Charlie Morton

We can safely say that Baltimore Orioles outfielder Anthony Santander is clearly not picking up what Tampa Bay Rays starter Charlie Morton is throwing.

Santander struck out swinging in each of his first three at-bats against Morton on Tuesday. This one came on a pitch that nearly hit him.

The nutmeg is a little more common in soccer and basketball. In baseball, it’s a little harder to come by.

That ball must look like a golf ball to Santander. Though, the way he’s clearly struggling to pick up Morton, we’re not sure if it’d matter if it was a beachball. Some matchups are tougher than others for hitters.
