J.R. Smith had it going big time in his Cleveland Cavaliers Game 4 win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday. He lit Toronto up for 15 points while hitting all six of his shots en route to helping Cleveland sweep Toronto out of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Smith has always been hot or cold. There’s rarely been anything in between here. That’s why it’s a bit of a shock that the veteran put up just six shots in Cleveland’s 35-point win.
When asked about whether he has the green light to shoot whenever he wants, Smith might have provided us with the quote of the playoffs.
“How green is your light, J.R.?”
“Very green … but not as green as that green im gonna hit tomorrow.”

Is he talking about golf or something a bit more sinister to the archaic mind? He could hit the green playing golf on Tuesday. He could also be contemplating hitting some other type of green. Wink, wink.
In true Scott Van Pelt fashion, the legendary SportCenter host lobbed up a save at the end of the clip. We have to give dude credit for seeing through the smoke (very punny).
Cleveland absolutely destroyed Toronto in its four-game sweep. They outscored their Eastern Conference rivals by a combined 56 points in four games. Needless to say, those on the Cavaliers’ roster are pretty excited about this quick turnaround.
