After missing Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals this past weekend, Cleveland Cavaliers big man Kevin Love has passed through the concussion protocol and will play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals Thursday evening.

There was some question about Love’s availability to start Cleveland’s championship matchup with the Golden State Warriors in Oakland. That can now be thrown completely out the window.
To say Love is important to the Cavaliers’ already slim chances would be an understatement. He’s averaging 13.9 points thus far in the playoffs and joins only LeBron James to have averaged double-digit points for Cleveland during the postseason.
Cleveland is a 13-point underdog in Game 1 of the Finals. Having Love on the court will help matters here.
