It certainly seems like Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz will be ready for Week 1 after suffering a torn ACL late last season.
Wentz has been seen in what has to be described as tip-top shape during the spring. It’s a pretty big deal for the defending champs. While Nick Foles performed well in Wentz’s stead, the latter is truly this organization’s franchise player.
In keeping with the Philly sports theme, Wentz decided to reference Sixers All-Star Joel Embiid in explaining how his rehab is going.
Carson Wentz on his rehab: “As my man Joel Embiid would say, just keep trusting the process.”

Sam Hinkie must be smiling from a burner account somewhere.
As much as the Sixers and Embiid are known for the rallying cry, it makes perfect sense for Wentz to reference it.
The Eagles aren’t going to rush their MVP candidate back on to the field before he’s 100 percent ready. It is definitely a process. And at the very least, Wentz seems to acknowledge that.
