The Carolina Panthers announced left tackle Cameron Erving will not travel with the team and has been ruled out of Sunday’s road game against the New York Giants.

Rookie Brady Christensen will start at left tackle in place of Erving, who was added to the injury report Thursday with an ailing neck. Erving did not participate in Friday’s walk-through due to illness.

Erving, 29, has appeared in 80 games (52 starts) with the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys and Panthers.

Christensen, 25, has appeared in six games (one start) since being selected by Carolina in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Panthers (3-3) will attempt to snap a three-game losing skid Sunday against the Giants (1-5) in East Rutherford, N.J.
