Kyrie Irving will not play for the Brooklyn Nets at the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday due to a family matter, the team announced.
Irving joins James Harden (right hamstring strain) and LaMarcus Aldridge (illness, non-COVID-related) on the list of Nets stars who won’t be available Monday.
Irving is coming off his first career ejection Saturday night when he and Los Angeles Lakers guard Dennis Schroder were tossed for jawing at each other after a play.

The 29-year-old All-Star guard has played 38 games for Brooklyn this year and averaged 27.6 points, 6.0 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 38 games.
He also missed a seven-game stretch in January for undisclosed personal reasons.
After Monday’s game at Minnesota, the Nets play at the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday before returning home for a date with the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.
The Athletic was the first to report Irving will miss Monday’s game.
