The AFC West is always better when the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders are both competing for the division title. It brings a certain rivalry that we haven’t seen for some time.

With the Raiders finding themselves in position to contend for a playoff spot after yet another solid offseason and the Broncos coming off a championship season, that’s likely going to be the case in 2016.

What better way to up the ante than taking to Twitter to troll one another months before the season kicks off, right?

Well, that’s what both the Raiders and Broncos did on Wednesday. And it was glorious.

Talk about bulletin board material right there.

Yes, that’s John Elway and the rest of the Broncos’ brass laughing at a tweet sent out by the Raiders indicating that Oakland has overtaken Denver’s defense as the best in the division.

While Oakland is surely improved on the defensive side of the ball after adding veterans Sean Smith and Bruce Irvin to a talented young group, it still has a long way go to in order to catch up to the Broncos.

This past season saw Denver finish first in total defense while allowing the fourth-fewest points in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Raiders finished 22nd in both categories.
