Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing left the field during his team’s Week 1 game against the Chicago Bears with a knee injury.

While the full extent of the injury is unknown, Cushing’s reaction seemed to indicate that he felt it was serious.

“Cushing appeared to be in pain and was wearing a look on his face that suggested he thought he had suffered a severe knee injury, although the immediate word was only that he is questionable to return.” per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

Cushing has been relatively healthy over the last two seasons, playing 14 games in 2014 and 16 in 2015. Still, the linebacker is no stranger to injuries.

Over the 2012 and 2013 seasons, he played in only 12 combined games. The 2012 campaign was cut short due to a torn ACL.
