Brewers have reportedly made an offer to the Marlins for Christian Yelich

Christian Yelich

We already know that the Miami Marlins are in full-scale rebuild mode. The team has dealt away Marcell Ozuna, Giancarlo Stanton and Dee Gordon during the offseason.

Fellow veteran Christian Yelich, who is not happy about the Marlins’ current situation, could very well be the next to go.

Now, according to this one report, the Milwaukee Brewers have put together a trade offer for Yelich.

Flush with one of the top-five farm systems in baseball, Milwaukee has the capital to acquire someone of Yelich’s ilk. Whether that actually comes to fruition remains to be seen.

Yelich, 26, is coming off a 2017 campaign that saw him hit .282 with 18 homers and 81 RBI. He’s under team control through the 2021 season, which makes the youngster a much more attractive option. Having played all 155 games last season in center, he would also be a major upgrade over Keon Broxton at that position for the Brewers.
