Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Christian Yelich departed Thursday night’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks after 3 1/2 innings due to neck discomfort.

Yelich went 0-for-2 with a strikeout at the plate. He caught Corbin Carroll’s deep fly to left to end the Arizona third but was replaced by Tyrone Taylor when Milwaukee took the field for the bottom of the fourth.

Yelich is batting .259 with 11 homers and 45 RBIs in 125 games this season.

The 30-year-old is in his fifth season with the Brewers and 10th overall. He was National League MVP in 2018 and the runner-up in 2019.
