The Atlanta Braves will be without Arodys Vizcaino, one of the key pieces in their bullpen, for the remainder of the season.
The Braves announced on Wednesday that Vizcaino underwent surgery on his right shoulder, which is expected to end his season.
In 2018, Vizcaino saved 16 games for Atlanta, posting a 2.11 ERA, 1.174 WHIP, and a 9.4 K/9.
During Tuesday night’s loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks, Braves fans were chanting for Atlanta to sign Craig Kimbrel. The free agent pitcher came up with the Braves and pitched in Atlanta from 2010-2014. With Vizcaino now out for the year, expect that sentiment to grow.
