BKFC has reportedly signed the son of one of the better heavyweight boxers of the 1990s, who just so happened to also star in Rocky 5.
Over the last decade, BKFC has quickly grown into one of the fastest-growing combat sports promotions on Earth. The promotion faced a great deal of resistance for bringing back a violent sport like bare knuckle boxing. However, they have made huge strides in changing opinions and getting the sport legalized in many states.
Yet, one of the biggest areas of growth for BKFC is their roster. After years of development, the promotion has as deep a roster as it’s ever had and features veterans from the UFC and boxing, as well as homegrown stars that cut their teeth in bare knuckle fighting.
Well, this week it got even better when it was revealed that the company has expanded into bringing in the offspring of a fight sports great.

BKFC signs Tommy Morrison’s son Kenzie Morrison
MMA Fighting reported this week that the promotion has inked Kenzie Morrison to a multi-fight contract. The 34-year-old is a 25-fight boxing veteran who owns a record of 22-1-2. However, he is also the sign of former heavyweight champion Tommy Morrison.
Morrison was a big name in the division during the 1990s. He was so respected in the sport on his rise to elite status that he landed the role of protege turned bad guy in the 1990 film Rocky V. Unfortunately, his career was brought to a sudden end in 1996 when he was diagnosed with HIV. He ended his career with a 48-3-1 record with 42 knockouts.

The younger Morrison is a very nice addition for the BKFC heavyweight division, because he is a rock-solid boxer who brings unique brand recognition due to his pedigree in the sport.
