There’s a big rumor going around right now that has Kansas men’s basketball head coach Bill self leaving the school to coach the Chicago Bulls.
We love taking gambling advice from Brandon Lang, but rarely does he break news like he did Thursday, telling @1TimMurray he has it on good authority Bill Self will leave Kansas to take over the Chicago Bulls. https://t.co/XVaMkA42pJ

There’s just one big problem with all that: Self himself isn’t exactly thrilled with the idea and says he’s not going to be a candidate for that position, if it opens up.
“The Bulls thing is as far-fetched …” he told the Kansas City Star on Monday. “I don’t know where that came from. I’ve never talked to anybody from the Bulls about any employment opportunities. They have a coach and I’m not a candidate for that position and will not be.”
So, coaching the Bulls isn’t on Self’s radar.
Instead, he’s focused on Northeastern, which is the first team the Jayhawks will face (on Thursday) in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
