A compliment from any head coach in the NFL feels great for a player, but it’s especially true when the praise comes from New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

Speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Belichick raved about Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s play this season and how difficult he makes the Cowboys’ offense to stop.

Prescott, who is set to become a free agent at the end of this season, leads the NFL in passing yards, yards per attempt (8.8) and ranks second in passing touchdowns (21) and QBR (77.8). He’s emerged as a legitimate MVP candidate and Belichick highlighted many of the reasons that make him great.

The future Hall of Fame coach didn’t stop there with his praise for Dallas’ star quarterback. When asked about Prescott’s current pace to surpass 5,000 passing yards, Belichick joked that he might even hit 6,000 yards.

Of course, the coach with a reputation for delivering memorable quotes delivered quite the lone when asked about Prescott’s mobility and how much more difficult it makes stopping this offense.

Needless to say, Belichick is quite the fan of Prescott’s abilities and appreciates what he has accomplished this season. Prescott already had plenty of evidence to back him in contract negotiations with the Cowboys this offseason and now he can use this too.
