Someone had a really bad Sunday. One bettor wagered $540,000 in moneyline bets on the Chicago Bears to beat the New Orleans Saints, who upset Chicago in the Windy City, 36-25.

Per Ben Fawkes of ESPN, said bettor would have won $227,000 if the Bears had won.

For most of us, it’s hard to fathom having more than a half million on hand, let alone wagering that much.

Then again, if said bettor had read this publication, then he or she would have known not to put any amount on the Bears to beat the Saints.
