Bengals will reportedly interview Hue Jackson for HC job

Browns head coach Hue Jackson

Long considered a potential replacement for Marvin Lewis on the sidelines, the Cincinnati Bengals will reportedly interview assistant coach Hue Jackson for their head coaching vacancy here soon.

This really shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. Once Lewis was let go by the Bengals on Monday after 16 seasons, the now-former head coach endorsed Jackson to be his replacement.

All of this comes after Jackson made the controversial decision to join Lewis’ staff in Cincinnati after being fired midseason by the division-rival Cleveland Browns.

The 53-year-old Jackson ended his tenure in Cleveland with a 3-36-1 record. If the Bengals were to hire him, it would likely be met with criticism from the long downtrodden fan base. That’s fore sure.
