Bears LB played almost entire game with torn pectoral muscle

Bears linebacker Jerrell Freeman

The Chicago Bears will be without star linebacker Jerrell Freeman after he was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week with a torn pectoral muscle.

According to Freeman himself, the injury occurred on the first play of the game against the Atlanta Falcons this past Sunday. He would ultimately play the rest of the way with said injury.

Ouch. That takes a ton of toughness right there. Anyone who has ever suffered a torn pec knows how hard it is to even conduct daily functions, let alone play a football game.

That’s not even the extent of the injuries Freeman suffered in Week 1. He was also diagnosed with a concussion following the narrow loss to Atlanta.

Ultimately, Freeman would end up leading the Bears with 10 tackles in the game.

Credit to you, Mr. Freeman. Your toughness has not gone unnoticed here.
