Baltimore Ravens rookie defensive end Odafe Oweh was fined $11,457 for his hit last week on Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who left the game with a concussion.

The Ravens (3-1) beat the Broncos (3-1) on Sunday, and Bridgewater was hurt on the Oweh hit on Denver’s final drive of the second quarter.

Oweh wasn’t flagged on the play, and he said he was sorry Bridgewater sustained the concussion.

“There was no ill intent,” Oweh said, via ESPN. “Our mentality is to bring physicality and do everything that we got to do safely, no penalties. I wish Teddy prosperity. I wasn’t trying to do anything dirty.”

Four games into his rookie season, Oweh has two sacks, 10 tackles (three for loss), six QB hits, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Oweh, a product of Penn State, was the No. 31 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Bridgewater is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers (1-3).
