Baltimore defensive lineman Derek Wolfe has been cleared for practice after the Ravens designated him for return from injured reserve Tuesday.

Wolfe has not played yet this season. He injured his back and hip in August during the team’s joint practices with the Carolina Panthers.

The Ravens have 21 days to activate Wolfe to the active roster. He was expected to practice Tuesday. The Ravens (5-2) have a bye in Week 8.

Wolfe had 51 tackles for the Ravens in 2020, his first season in Baltimore. He started eight of 14 games.

Wolfe has 34 career sacks and 81 quarterback hits in 122 games (116 starts) with the Denver Broncos (2012-19) and Ravens. He was selected by Denver in the second round of the 2012 draft.
