Balanced attack lifts No. 18 TCU to romp over Central Ark.

Mike Miles Jr. scored 21 points and Emanuel Miller added 20 as No. 18 TCU rode balanced scoring and a dominating first half to an easy 103-57 victory over visiting Central Arkansas on Wednesday afternoon in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Horned Frogs have won nine straight games, with a one-point loss at home to Northwestern State on Nov. 14 the only hiccup on their resume.

TCU scored 100 points for the first time this season, shot 52.1 percent from the floor, had 40 fast-break points while allowing Central Arkansas none, and scored 58 points in the paint.

Damion Baugh added 13 points for the Horned Frogs, while Shahada Wells and JaKobe Coles scored 12 each.

Eddy Kayouloud led the Bears (5-8) with 14 points, with Carl Daugherty Jr. adding 10. Central Arkansas shot just 29 percent from the floor and had 18 turnovers.

The Horned Frogs (11-1) led just 10-8 after a 3-pointer by Central Arkansas’ Camren Hunter at the 16:04 mark of the first half. But they scored the next eight points over the ensuing 3 1/2 minutes to take a commanding early advantage.

The Bears cut the margin to just five points after a layup by Elias Cato. but TCU responded with a 15-0 run capped by a jumper by Baugh to build its lead to 33-13.

Up by 17 points with 3:37 left in the half, the Horned Frogs scored the period’s final seven points, with six of the points on layups and dunks, to take a 49-25 margin into the break.

Miles led the Horned Frogs with 11 points before halftime, with Miller adding 10. TCU outshot the Bears 55.9 percent to 25 percent in the half, scored 30 of its points in the paint and forced 10 turnovers it converted into 14 points.

Kayouloud led all scorers in the half with 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting. The other Central Arkansas players shot just 5 of 31 from the floor.

The Horned Frogs built a 59-30 lead after another layup by Baugh with 16:16 to play but Central Arkansas answered with a 9-0 run to cut its deficit to 20 points.
