Baker Mayfield donating $50,000 to Cleveland food bank amid coronavirus outbreak

Professional athletes all around the sports world are stepping up as the United States deals with the growing coronavirus pandemic.

That now includes Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. The youngster took to Instagram on Thursday to announce that he and his wife, Emily, are donating $50,000 to a local Cleveland food bank.

The $50,000 isn’t going to impact Mayfield’s checking account too much. But it’s the thought that matters the most here.

While those well off are not going to struggle getting three meals per day during this crisis, families and individuals on the other end of the financial spectrum are already being impacted. A donation of $50,000 is going to help big time.
