Atlanta Braves left-hander Tucker Davidson has been tabbed to start Sunday night’s Game 5 of the World Series against the visiting Houston Astros.

The Braves hold a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. A win on Sunday would secure Atlanta’s first World Series title since 1995.

Davidson, 25, will be making his first appearance for the Braves since June 15. He was rocked for five runs on as many hits — including two homers — in 2 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Boston Red Sox.

Davidson is 0-1 with a 4.15 ERA in five career appearances — all starts — with the Braves.

The Astros are sending Game 1 starter Framber Valdez to the mound Sunday. Valdez was roughed up for five runs over two innings in the series opener, giving up eight hits along with home runs from Jorge Soler and Adam Duvall.
