The Astros reached out to Santa Fe High School to find ways to offer support for those in need in the local community. The organization will continue to look for ways to help Santa Fe during this time.
“Our organization as in contact with people to see if it would offer support and offer, certainly, our attention,” manager A.J. Hinch said, via The Houston Chronicle. “It’s one of the smallest things we can do to continue the conversation about what happened not too long ago.”
According to Santa Fe updates, money will aid those impacted by the shooting through covering funeral costs, medical bills and further assistance for victims and their families.
