Arkosh lose in ESL One Winter, slip to DPC Division II

Arkosh Gaming were relegated to Division II for the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season after losing 2-0 to Undying on Wednesday as the DPC North America: ESL One Winter event concluded.

The defeat left Arkosh with a 1-6, tied with Black N Yellow for last place in the eight-team tournament. Those two clubs are headed down to Division II, with the other six to remain in Division I.

At the other end of the standings, Quincy Crew took its first loss of the event in its finale, falling 2-0 to Evil Geniuses. Quincy Crew still wound up in first place at 6-1, while Evil Geniuses tied Undying for second place at 5-2. Quincy and EG will play a tiebreaker match to determine their final standings.

Rounding out the top six were 4 Zoomers (4-3), Wildcard Gaming (4-3) and simply TOOBASED (2-5). 4 Zoomers and Wildcard will face off in a tiebreaker to determine fourth place.

On Wednesday, Undying got past Arkosh in 28 minutes on green then in 41 minutes on red. Peru’s Enzo “Timado” Gianoli O’Connor led Undying with an average kill-death-assist ratio of 13.5/3.5/15.0. The United States’ Jaron “monkeys-forever” Clinton led Arkosh with an average 7.5/6.5/9.5 K-D-A ratio.

Evil Geniuses downed Quincy Crew in 40 minutes on red and in 56 minutes on green. Canada’s Artour “Arteezy” Babaev posted an average 15/2/8 K-D-A ratio for Evil Geniuses. Quinn “Quinn” Callahan logged an average 12.5/6.0/8.0 K-D-A ratio for Quincy Crew.
