The Arizona Diamondbacks, who traded veteran right-handed reliever Joakim Soria to Toronto earlier in the day, added seven players to the active roster while removing another five.

The team reinstated catcher Carson Kelly (fractured right wrist) from the 10-day injured list, recalled right-handed pitcher J.B. Bukauskas from Triple-A Reno and selected the contracts of left-handed pitchers Miguel Aguilar and Ryan Buchter, right-handed pitcher Stefan Crichton and infielder Drew Ellis from Reno.

The team also announced infielder Jake Hager would join the team after he was claimed off waivers from the Seattle Mariners on Friday.

Kelly, who last played June 19, is hitting .260 this season through 50 games with eight home runs and 26 RBIs.

Aguilar, who struck out 37 hitters in 31 innings while posting a 2.90 ERA at Reno this season, and Ellis will be making their big-league debuts.

Ellis, a second-round pick by the Diamondbacks 2017, hit .286 (66-for-231) with a .950 OPS, 13 home runs and 52 RBIs in 65 games with Reno.

Arizona acquired two players to be named later in the Soria trade.

Soria was 1-4 with six saves and a 4.30 ERA in 31 appearances with Arizona this season.
