The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated infielder Asdrubal Cabrera from the 10-day injured list on Friday and placed right-hander Seth Frankoff (right forearm soreness) on the 10-day IL.

Cabrera suffered a right hamstring strain May 13, pulling up while attempting to steal second base in a home game against the Marlins and then falling to the ground.

“When you see something like that happen and one of your athletes goes down the way he did, you just hold your breath,” Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Friday. “I just think it speaks volumes to what he’s doing away from the field on his own time. What his focus has been in getting back to us has been relentless.”

Through 34 games this season, Cabrera has posted a .289/.393/.474 slash line with four homers and 18 RBIs.

Now in his 15th major league season, the 35-year-old has a .268 average, 192 home runs and 845 RBIs in 1,746 games.

Frankoff, 32, has struggled in four appearances (three starts) this season, allowing 15 runs in 14 2/3 innings.

The Diamondbacks had lost 25 of their past 30 games entering Friday’s matchup in Milwaukee.
