The Arizona Cardinals inked their first-round pick, former Tulsa linebacker Zaven Collins, to his rookie contract on Tuesday, the same day the team began its three-day mandatory minicamp.

Per the deal, which the team announced, Collins will make earn approximately $14.7 million over the next four seasons along with an $8 million signing bonus, with the club holding a fifth-year option for the 2025 season.

Among the Cardinals’ seven draft selections, only second-round wide receiver Rondale Moore (Purdue) remains without a signed contract.

Collins, 22, was the 16th overall pick in April’s draft. He was the third linebacker that the Cardinals have taken in the opening round since 2017, joining Isaiah Simmons (eighth in 2020) and Haason Reddick (13th in 2017).

Collins was a unanimous pick as the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year last season at Tulsa. He racked up the honors, winning the Bronko Nagurski and Chuck Bednarik awards during his All-American 2020 campaign. In 32 games (30 starts) over his three college seasons, Collins posted 236 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 7 1/2 sacks and five interceptions.
