The Arizona Cardinals placed veteran safety Shawn Williams on the non-football injury list on Tuesday.
Williams, 30, was signed as a free agent in the offseason after spending his first eight seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Williams has 12 career interceptions, topped by the career-best five he had for the Bengals in 2018.
Last season, Williams was a reserve for Cincinnati after being a starter the previous four seasons. He had 16 tackles and didn’t intercept a pass.
Overall, he has 424 tackles, three fumble recoveries and three sacks in 119 games (61 starts).
The Cardinals also released defensive lineman Ryan Bee, who they signed in April.
Bee has played in one NFL game, in 2019 for Washington. He had one tackle.
