Antonio Brown doesn’t seem to be embracing the notion that the NFL may be done with him and once again aired his thoughts via social media. This time, he took a swipe at Atlanta Falcons star Julio Jones, whom many believe is the best overall receiver in the NFL.
B/R Gridiron shared the following quote from Brown, who went on Intagram Live to tout himself as “the best receiver in the game.”
The one big thing that Brown seems to be missing right now is that Jones is actually “in the game,” whereas he is not.
Brown is still under investigation by the NFL over two separate accusations of sexual misconduct from last year. The league has made it clear that, until the investigation is concluded and any potential disciplinary action is taken, any team that does sign Brown is subject to have him land on the commissioner’s exempt list.
In the meantime, one of Brown’s old coaches in Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians, has made it clear that Brown would not be welcome in his locker room. And quite honestly, after all the stuff he pulled in Oakland last year, and given the investigation still hanging around his neck, that’s probably going to be true for Brown anywhere in the NFL right now.
