Andrew Luck won’t practice again this week

Andrew Luck was a huge winner during NFL minicamps

The Indianapolis Colts will not have starting quarterback Andrew Luck at practice this coming week as he continues to rehab what’s become a ridiculously nagging injury.

Zak Keefer of The Athletic shared head coach Frank Reich’s comment on the issue:

The latest on Luck’s injury is that his nagging calf injury ended up also turning into a high-ankle issue as he rehabbed. The team isn’t yet willing to say whether Luck will be ready for Week 1, but there reportedly is “guarded optimism” he will.

Luck has been dealing with this calf injury since the offseason program began. It’s something the team has played off as a situation that’s in no way similar to what happened in 2017 with his shoulder. Yet given how long it has dragged on, and continues to drag on, it’s impossible not to be a bit skeptical about that.
