All-American safety Brandon Joseph announced Saturday he is transferring from Northwestern to Notre Dame.

“My time at Northwestern will be with me forever, and Evanston will always be in my heart,” he posted on Twitter, in part. “With that being said, I have decided to commit to the University of Notre Dame!”

Joseph intercepted nine passes in three seasons with the Wildcats.

He started all 12 games for Northwestern (3-9) in 2021 and totaled 80 tackles, three interceptions, one sack and one fumble recovery.

Joseph registered his first career sack and a career-high 12 tackles at then-No. 6 Michigan on Oct. 23.
