Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen went up a few notches today with his plans to wear these wonderful Turd Ferguson cleats in his game against the Cleveland Browns. The cleats, made by Mache Customs, pay homage to the late, great Norm MacDonald.

Thielen has been known to wear unique cleats on game day, but these may be some of his best yet. Thielen currently has a three-game touchdown streak and undoubtedly hopes to extend it today as his Vikings look to get back to .500.

It appears Thielen, like many others, appreciated MacDonald’s comedic wit.

MacDonald made Turd Ferguson famous with his work on Saturday Night Live in the ’90s when portraying Burt Reynolds. While MacDonald may have recently passed away, his legacy lives on in many ways.

“Yeah, that’s right. It’s a funny name.”
