According to Ken Rosenthal, Washington Nationals center fielder Adam Eaton has been diagnosed with a torn ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season.

He was originally placed on the 10-day disabled list after a diagnosis with a knee strain. He left the game Friday night after hustling to beat out an outfield single in the ninth inning and had to be carried off the field.

The 28-year-old slashed a .297/.393/.462 line with two home runs and 13 RBI this season. Expect Michael Taylor to receive extra action in the outfield to replace him.
