Aaron Rodgers’ chance meeting with Bears fans is great

Some unsuspecting Chicago Bears fans had an awesome surprise encounter with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers was strolling the city streets of Chicago on Nov. 11, the night before the Packers played the Bears. This is when Julia Nicoll and her 11-year-old son ran into Rodgers. This is a takeaway from Nicoll’s meeting with Rodgers.

“He just started talking to us again like we were all neighbors and friends. We walked with him again for the next 15 minutes, 20 minutes to Michigan Avenue,” said Julia Nicoll, via Kendra Meinert of the Press-Gazette. “The thing for me that really stood out as so awesome was he asked us questions. I would say he asked us more questions than I asked him, because I didn’t want to be nosy and because I didn’t want to invade his privacy.”

According to the report, Nicoll’s son recognized Rodgers initially when he was standing next to them waiting to cross the street. Rodgers introduced himself and said “Hi, I’m Aaron.”

After posing for a picture, Rodgers could have easily gone on his way and carried on with his evening plans. It is cool that he actually engaged with the Nicolls who certainly wouldn’t have expected the quarterback to continue walking with them upwards of 20 minutes.

It is also nice to hear that Rodgers was in good spirits as he patiently heals from his collarbone surgery.
