While Aaron Judge has been sidelined with an oblique injury since April, New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone is pleased with his progress of his star slugger.
Boone spoke about Judge’s progress on Wednesday. He wouldn’t even speculate on when Judge, who just began participating in some baseball activities, might return. Still, Boone was clear in saying that Judge is getting better.
While an ETA would be nice, this is definitely positive news for the Yankees. It’s in direct contrast to the news that New York received on Wednesday about fellow slugger, Giancarlo Stanton.
When Judge does return, the Yankees will obviously welcome him back with open arms. Fortunately, they don’t need to rush him.
Unlike when Judge missed time in 2018, New York has performed very well in his absence. Entering Wednesday’s action, the Yankees sat at 30-17; two games clear of the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East.
