San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York took to Twitter to break his silence regarding the recent report that the team’s head coach Jim Harbaugh is unlikely to return for the 2015 season.
Jim is my coach. We are trying to win a SB, not a personality or popularity contest. Any more questions?

It remains to be seen whether this was in response to the Jay Glazer report Sunday morning that indicated Harbaugh will not return to the team, even if the 49ers win the Super Bowl this season. York’s comments could very well be in response to the general conversation in the media regarding his head coach.
Either way, it’s the first public comments that York has made since Deion Sanders claimed that some players on the 49ers want Harbaugh out.
