Fans of the¬†Cleveland Browns are apparently excited about the franchise’s new era under head coach Hue Jackson. The team announced that over 42,000 fans attended the team’s Orange and Browns¬†training camp scrimmage on Saturday at Ohio State.

That’s a ton of people showing up to watch a glorified practice session.

Thankfully, they were treated to some exciting action. Robert Griffin III and quarterback-turned-wide-receiver Terrelle Pryor both shined, with the latter hauling in two touchdown passes, including a 75-yarder to end practice, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Here are a couple highlights from the action.

Based on the fact that Jackson has already said he’s close to naming a starter, and based on the fact that the Browns have been giving RG3 almost all the first-team snaps this offseason, we can assume it’s only a matter of time before he is announced as the starter.

Hopefully the Browns can live up to the clearly optimistic expectations of a fan base that hasn’t experienced any success in a long time.

Playing well against each other doesn’t always translate to playing well against real opponents. We suspect it will be another rocky year or two before Jackson turns the ship around in Cleveland.
