The Sacramento Kings lost to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, blowing the game in brutal fashion thanks to a history-making performance from Luka Doncic. Afterward, former Kings star DeMarcus Cousins wasted little time throwing significant shade at the organization.

Sacramento led most of the game. It wasn’t until the final couple of minutes in the fourth quarter that the Mavericks pulled even. Then in overtime, they took control, winning 114-110 over the Kings.

Then, Cousins took to Twitter with a pointed message.

With four simple words, Cousins made it clear he believes the Kings made him a scapegoat but are no better off now than they ever were with him leading the charge.

DeMarcus Cousins and the Kings: Relationship ended on bad terms

Cousins had a rocky tenure in Sacramento. Significant clashes between himself and George Karl were a factor. His penchant for technical fouls didn’t help, either. Before being traded to New Orleans he was also fined a significant amount for inappropriate behavior in an altercation with a reporter.

Needless to say, Cousins appears to still harbor some bitterness toward the organization.
