WATCH: Rockets guard Eric Gordon had to be carried off court after nasty-looking ankle injury

The Houston Rockets were playing their final scrimmage in Orlando Tuesday when guard Eric Gordon badly sprained his left ankle and had to be carried off the court.

Gordon had lobbed a pass into the paint when his left ankle got twisted badly as he stepped on the foot of his opponent.

It looked really bad.

It didn’t take the Rockets long to rule Gordon out for the remainder of the scrimmage.

Hopefully the injury to Gordon isn’t as bad as it looked. He’s an accomplished veteran and a key player for the Rockets. Before the NBA season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic back in March, the 31-year-old Gordon was averaging 14.5 points, 2.9 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game.
