The NFLPA held a virtual meeting on Friday to discuss the potential start of training camps on July 28 and other issues related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Apparently, the meeting provided much more questions than answers. Multiple veterans who sat in on the meeting took to social media to discuss the end result. It was not great.

Those are some strong words from the Giants’ player rep to the NFLPA. It’s something that has been echoed by players around the league since the meeting wrapped up.
It also comes on the heels of other star players opening up about the NFL’s lack of action as it relates to protecting players from the growing virus in the United States.
Richard Sherman says deal not close with NFL to start training camps
The San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowler pushed back against a report from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport claiming that the two sides were close with the only outstanding issues being COVID-19 testing protocols and the length of the 2020 preseason. That obviously no longer appears to be the case.
This all comes on the heels of NFLPA president J.C. Tretter questioning the league’s priorities in the lead up to the start of training camp.
The NFLPA and NFL have a meeting scheduled for Mondy to discuss roadblocks that exist when it comes to starting training camp and the 2020 regular season on Sept. 10.
