Former Missouri star and current Washington Redskins receiver Emanuel Hall will miss the entire 2020 NFL season with a torn Achilles.

In an Instagram post shared on Saturday, Hall announced that he tore his Achilles running routes last month.
“So for those that don’t know, about a month ago while running routes and getting ready for training camp, I tore my Achilles. I have never second guessed what I want for my life. I fell in love with this game at 7 years old and have been obsessed every since. One thing I have learned in the past 2 years is that perception is everything. If you have your mind right, it will always take your life from point A to point B. Even though this is a major setback I’m going to bounce back. I’m determined. I want to thank all the people who have supported my career ever since I stepped on the field. Just know I’m working.”
Extremely talented, Hall has struggled to stay healthy since his college days at Missouri. He was a favorite target of Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock and showed the ability to put up big-time stats. During his final two seasons with the Tigers, Hall caught 70 passes for 1,645 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Despite electric Combine, Emanuel Hall went undrafted
Coming out of Mizzou, Hall put on a show at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. He ran an official 4.39-second 40, leaped 43.5 inches on the vertical and did a broad jump of 141 inches — one of the best in history.
Despite that, Hall ended up going undrafted during the 2019 NFL Draft. Afterward, he was signed by the Chicago Bears, who released him in August last summer. Then, he was picked up off waivers by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who signed him to their practice squad. Finally, after being released by Tampa Bay last September, he was picked up by Washington in December of last year.
