Sports world reacts to NBA’s Orlando schedule release

Los Angeles Clippers SF Kawhi Leonard guards Los Angeles Lakers SF LeBron James

Sports fans have desperately been waiting for NBA players to return to the court since the league suspended its season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now with plans finalized for the 2019-’20 season to resume on July 30, the NBA’s schedule for its return is here.

The NBA will kick off its return in an ironic fashion, with the Utah Jazz taking the court against Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans. The choice is, of course, remarkable given it was Rudy Gobert’s positive test that forced the NBA to suspend operations.

NBA fans will be in for an even greater treat for the second game on July 30 with the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers squaring off.

While fans might have grown frustrated early on by ESPN dragging out the announcement, excitement grew as each game was revealed.
